My company has done over $10 Billion of banking business over 25 years in 50 countries, lots at stake for me and my clients; but you know, I have never been so anxious as during the last 48 hours wondering if my grandchildren were going to be in a safe car, purchased from FIRST KIA by our daughter a few months ago, her first such purchase. Our prayers were answered today. One of your best, most seasoned mechanics found the fault which was causing her car to simply shut down without any power on busy LA freeways with three infants inside the vehicle, twice in the last week.
Apparently, as I understand it, a needed engine monitoring/managing update finally produced a fault code, so it could be identified and the update installed. Vince, you have no idea the magnitude of gratitude that this father feels toward you and KIA MOTORS tonight. All we can say is a big thank you from the northwest corner of our hearts for not giving up, and getting the fault fixed.
I know well what great customer service looks like, as bank clients around the globe pay me a tidy sum to help them improve theirs, and it looks a lot like what I saw in you and your company this week, from the service techs to the desk staff. I will tell you this; unlike some who point the finger at their associates and say "there is nothing we can do since there is no fault code seen, and need to talk with some other department," by contrast you should have no trouble sleeping at night, knowing you and your service team at KIA MOTORS bend over backwards to make a wrong right. What is the value of that to this customer on this day: it is priceless my friend, priceless!
So, please give your valued mechanics involved the sincere gratitude of a simple man whose goal was only to move heaven and earth however necessary to protect my innocent little grandchildren to be in a safe, dependable car. I dropped everything on a very busy plate to help deal with this important personal situation these past two days, as you probably already know.
You have found a new friend today for KIA MOTORS, and I just thought you ought to know about it.
I guess we made the mistake of actually going to the dealership instead of dealing with the Internet sales person.
I would like to say they were professional, but I believe there is a negative stigma associated with that term in the automotive industry. Generally a professional salesmen cannot function at all throughout a transaction without the sales manager nor can they handle a potential client who is ready to make a purchase. It's far too common to walk into a dealership these days and have them assume upon your arrival that you can't afford their car. It appears that too many have adopted this new way of selling an automobile, by the assumption that they (dealership) is doing you (the client) a favor by selling you a car.
We left with a 2011 fully loaded Optima last week at this dealership. I suppose we should say we stole the vehicle because we got such a good deal there was no way we could really leave this dealership empty handed. Honestly, we went to see what all the hype was surrounding the new Optima and the reality is, nothing else we test drove in that price bracket came close to the features and luxury this vehicle has. OK I know what you're saying... I can get the Optima anywhere, I don't need to come to this dealership to get one. Walking on the lot we were given enough time to browse the inventory before the salesman arrived to assist us. This is good, because it gives you the time to figure out if they have your car before your pulled emotionally to take what they have on the lot. The salesman wasted no time in getting us on the test drive. That's right... we went directly on a test drive. No credit app to fill out, no questionnaire, no interview. Hop in and lets go for a spin. Back from the test drive we heard a loud gong - Great I thought, they made a sale, so now we'll get the I don't need your business as bad as you think I do attitude. Yeah... that didn't happen, they treated us like we were the only people to walk on the lot in weeks. The car we drove didn't have navigation and the color was OK, just OK. But like I said before the car sold itself. So we headed onto the sales floor and began our negotiating.
Negotiating - a term that has nearly disappeared from the dictionary of the professional car salesman. We came pretty close to our bottom line when we realized we were sitting next to the exact car we were looking for. The correct color and it had navigation. Nearly ready to close the deal, the salesman brought over the sales manager to "close" the deal. Close would be defined as we just negotiated a large amount off the purchase price and we were a couple hundred away from our bottom line. I don't want the sales manager to get credit for all the hard work, the salesman handled the entire transaction up until this point. We let the sales manager know we had one more car to test drive before making a decision. He wanted to know what it would take to close. As a joke we pointed to the car next to us (with a $3000.00 higher price tag), and said this car and this number and it's a done deal. There was some friendly back and forth, within 10 minutes they gave us our deal. Throughout the negotiating there was a lot of fun banter going back and forth. It was borderline comedy club material. Just a good ole time.
GET IT ON - BANG A GONG - Deal is done.
Get your car and get out of here right? WRONG. Our salesman spent more time getting us familiar with all the features than the entire transaction took. He took the time to walk us through all the technology packed into this car. Setting our seat presets, syncing our phones, explaining navigation, Blue-tooth etc. In the days following he phoned twice to make sure we were still happy and to see if we had any questions.
I suppose I'll get emails asking who to speak with, what did you save, how did you do it. I won't answer them out of fear these guys will get scolded by the owner for such a deal.
If you don't mind throwing several thousand away go somewhere else. Or if you would like a great deal AND a fun transaction stop in and visit Marlon. Take note of the grey haired gentleman running around cracking jokes... he had a full head of black hair before we got done "negotiating".
Ahhh shoot... looks like I let the cat out of the bag anyway
It's my personal opinion that this place should set the bar on how a car should be sold, especially during a lousy economy. The rest of you who did not get our business should come here for a lesson on how to sell a car and how to treat a customer. Yes the savings are nice, being treated like a paying customer is even nicer. Thanks First Kia for not being "Professional"
PS - if you lack the self esteem to go into the dealership to get a good deal, my wife's negotiating skills are available for a small fee

My Review of First Kia:
I have purchased a previously owned and a new vehicles from this dealer in the past two month. Their service is excellent, they are very friendly, helpful and straightforward. No-nonsense. I recommended them to anyone is looking to purchase a new or previously owned vehicle. Thank you First Kia. It's what Simi Valley needs.

This was one of the best and easiest experiences I have ever had purchasing a car! They made it so easy for me to trade in my old car and get into my new car. I LOVED my old car (it was a part of me, my first car and my dream car) but they put me in a new Kia (which I never considered to buy) but I fell in love with the car. Johnny Kia and Yehuda made my transition seamless and painless! I will definitely be back and recommend First Kia to all my friends and family.

Excellent, Excellent Excellent, thats all I can say.
I have purchased a Brand New Sportage from Daniel Soliman. He is the man, took care of me, no pressure and I never felt a car buying experience could be so great. Daniel did a great job and took care of my needs.
I walked in and Daniel has helped me, he tryed to find my needs and wants before anything. His biggest concern was finding a vehicile that I would love. Ofcourse I loved them all. I took a test drive in the Sportage and new this is the car I wanted. It was fully loaded, Bluetooth, Nav, premium stereo, and all the saftety needs that anybody can ask for.
Daniel asked me to come inside to work out the numbers to see if they fit me needs. Negotiating, NONE. I knew I can trust this dealshersip immediatly when I walked in. Credit was pulled, once pulled Daniel came back to me with the monthly price and tems. I looked and the cost of the car and the intrest rate and knew this was an excellent deal as I looked elsewhere. I loved that they came to me with an excellent price without all the hassle like you would deal with at another dealer.
I would recommend anybody to this dealserip and make sure to ask for Daniel, they will take care of you without the hassle.

I have went to Simi Valley 1st Kia to purchase a car asI recevied a referal. I have went in this morning and Daniel has come out to help me. He approached me and was not pushy at all and just asked "how can I help you". I told him my situation and he than stated he can take care of me. He was very patient and friendly with me, I felt in place with no pressure. I have found a car that I wanted to purchase so Daniel took me inside the facility to proceed with the purchase. The staff where all very friendly, I loved the environment.
I wanted numbers before they pulled my credit, Daniel has gave me all the numbers prior, determining my credit which can change that. I loved the numbers, Daniel did not need to go back and forth to the desk because the numbers where low. I looked at another dealership and all they wanted to do is pull my credit. Daniel took care of my needs. Long story short, I have purchase a vehicile from Daniel. Johnny Kia came to thank me for my business, I felt so welcomed and knew that this is a dealsership of trust and honesty. I have had bad experience in the past with car shopping, this is the best, easiest car shopping I have ever done.
Thank you First Kia,
LOVE MY CAR and LOW PAYMENTS!!!
I'm very surprised to see negative reviews about this dealership. Although, they seem to be six months and older so maybe there has been some changes. All I know is that my experience was AMAZING!!! My schedule is very hectic so I called and spoke with Michael and Daniel. They took me through the purchase of my new Rio EX almost all by phone. We spoke about the price and they worked with me but by the time I was able to actually get to their dealership everything was ready for me. As I sat there, I had the manage come over and thank me for my business. Everyone was sooooo kind. Another gentleman even asked me if I would like some coffee and without me realizing, went to Starbucks. It was service like I have not received in a very long time. This dealership really knows and appreciates 'Customer Service.' But wait, it doesn't stop there. I didn't have any way to get my older car home so the next day Michael, my salesman, and another Kia employee, drove my car and followed me to Camarillo just to get my car back home!!!!! Unbelievable service!! This dealership went over and beyond for me and I would recommend them to everyone! I love my car!!!
My experience was…, very professional and smooth AND I got a a great car at a price even lower than I had anticipated.
I dealt with Michael Peters who was very cordial and accommodating. I was looking to lease a car and possibly trade in my current vehicle if the price was right. We test drove an Optima and decided to go in and talk numbers. Michael never pressured and seemed to look at a lot of angles in order to get us the best deal.
Fazzie (Michael's boss) came back with an offer we couldn't refuse...a monthly payment totaling more than half of what I am currently paying on my 7 yr old car.
Johnny Kia (Hey, this is LA..what can I say) was a pleasure to work with too.
I would recommend Michael Peters for all your Kia transaction"s...he will hook you up!!

Comments: I was looking to lease a new Kia Optima. As a Simi Valley resident I was very focused on "Shopping Simi". I pretty much had the vehicle I wanted in mind, and First Kia had it in stock. My salesmen, Benjamin Villalpando, was a pleasure to deal with. He was quick to run back and forth from the Sales Manager while we negotiated a selling price, all the while keepong me informed. Comments: My experience at Simi KIA was the best experience I have ever had buying a car at a dealership. There was no pressure and genuine concern for getting us the right vehicle for our needs. Comments: This is our 2nd purchase (lease) from Marlon at 1st Kia. Before coming here, I never thought the words "pleasant", "enjoyable" or "fun" could be used when describing the experience of purchasing a car. Comments: Marlon and Derrick are awesome! I made several trips to see if my 3 child car seats would fit, trying different car seats and combinations. Each time I went, Marlon and/or Derrick took care of my every need and didn't hesitate to assist, even helping to put the car seats in the car. Once we had it figured out Marlon got the numbers done and we set up an appointment. Derrick took care of us o... more
